Contrary information has emerged today as why Governor Ibikunle Amosun and the two Federal Ministers who are very close to President Muhammadu Buhari were absent at South West All Progressives Congress meeting On last Sunday.

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, Senator Gbenga Obadara, and other APC leaders present at the meeting where Governor Rauf Aregbesola announced the return of Olusegun Osoba to All Progressives Congress from Social Democratic Party.
In a similar meeting which was held today with his teeming supporters at his Ibara GRA residence, Chief Olusegun Osoba told journalists that it was some notable and respectable APC leaders that came to his house in Lagos and persuaded him to come back to the party he co-formed. Osoba promised that he would use his strength to diligently work for the success of All Progressives Congress. He then directed his party loyalists to start attending ward meeting from today.
Osoba spoke vehemently on the matter as he said while people are saying that he hosted the Southwest leaders of APC in his home since the news of the meeting broke; the truth of the matter was that it was them that came to plead with him to return to the APC family.
Chief Osoba made this known in his remarks at the public presentation of the book: Alake of Egbaland, in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, and vaguely blamed the press for the public misconception.
The 127 page book with Five chapters, was authored by the Great Egba politician and industrialist, Chief Alani Bankole, popularly called Caterpillar and was reviewed by the pioneer Vice –Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Prof. Olukayode Oyesiku.
Osoba decamped from All Progressives Congress 18 months ago to join Social Democratic Party as a result of dispute he with Governor Ibikunle Amosun and some APC leaders on the issue of congresses and primaries.
