Nigeria's Minister for Environment, Amina Muhammed is set to be appointed by the United Nations (U.N) as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization.
Muhammed has been the Special adviser to the U.N Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon
Secretary-General of the
United Nations. Ban Ki-moon is a South-Korean statesman and politician.
Antonio Guterres will assume office as secretary-general of the UN on the 1st of January 2017 and the minister of environment is expected to serve as his deputy.
