Chairman of Capital Oil
Limited and Ifeanyi Ubah football club, Chief Ifeanyi Ubah, has defected to the
All Progressives Congress (APC) to realise his
ambition in the 2017 Anambra State
governorship race.
The 45-year old Ubah announced his
decision to join the party at an APC
stakeholders’ meeting in Awka, Anambra State on Tuesday.
Ifeanyi Ubah will be contesting with the Minister for Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Ngige, Mrs
Uche Ekwunife, Chike Obidigbo among others at the APC primary.
The incumbent Governor, Willie Obiano, of the All Progressives
Grand Alliance rode on the wings of his predecessor, Peter Obi to become the governor in Anambra State in 2013 and he is also seeking for second term.
Obiano just won Silver bird man of the year awards with the highest number of Votes by defeating other three candidates nominated.
