The 2002/2003 set of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Oyo State Chapter held their inaugural meeting on Sunday at the Recreation Center, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The meeting which started around 3p.m in the afternoon with the opening prayer from Pastor Niyi, was well-attended by the members, Mr. Femi Bamishaye who graduated from Banking and Finance Department presided over the meeting.
National Coordinator, Mr. Yemi Olurinde, always known as D-man, the Students Union President of the set, Mr. Akeem Hussein Badmus also known as Actor, the Oyo State Cordinator, Akeem Rabiu Aro were among the important personalities who graced the inaugural meeting.
Bamishaye while welcoming the members gave thanks to the Almighty God for bringing members together again after 14 years of graduating from Osun State Polytechnic, Iree. He thanked the initiator of this forum, Mrs. Biola Odusina - who also talked to the members who attended the meeting on phone from her foreign base - for her superb initiative.
The chairman and National Cordinator stressed the significances and the needs for the formation of the 2002/2003 reunion which were purely to assist members and to foster strong relationship and networking.
Mr. Ogundoyin Adebayo Aremu always known as Jegeyo also advised members to be be prayerful and be eager to assist one another. Com. Yinka Adeyemo who works in financial firm also thanked the initiator and promised to assist members who might need financial assistance for the jobs.
Mr. Sarafa Sanusi, Mrs. Esther also known as Ayaba, Mr Akeem Hussein and others also emphasized on the importances of the reunion.
The State Cordinator introduced Sunday Ojo's younger brother who had earlier sent the financial donations for the meeting. He as well introduced the other state Coordinators at the meeting.
The meeting ended with the closing prayer around 5:15pm, members were taken care with sumptuous foods while the juju musician, Wale Fadeyi who is also part of the 2002/2003 set entertained the members with the cool music.
