CHAN 2016: Nigeria beats Niger Republic 4-1
The Super Eagles of Nigeria opened their CHAN
2016 campaign perfectly with a comfortable 4-1 win
over their neighbors Niger.
Nigeria 4-1 Niger as it happened!
After a goalless first half dominated bu the
Nigerians, Okore Moses needed only 30 seconds to
break the deadlock for the Super Eagles with a
lovely volley from a tight angle before subtitute
Chikatara doubled their lead in the 75th minute
with a smashing volley.
However, five minutes later, Niger were back in the
game thanks to Zakari Adebayor who left the
goalkeeper no chance to save his powerful shot
from outside the box. His celebration didn’t last as
Chikatara found the net again after just two
minutes.
The same player completed his hattrick in the last
minute of the added time after he was set one-on-
one with Niger goalkeeperby Prince.
With this win Nigeria go on top of Group C with
three points after Tunisia vs Guinea clash ended in
a dramatic 2-2 draw.
