Charge me to Court, If you have evidence - Mafe challenges Police

The Majority leader Of Ogun State house of Assembly, Hon. Yinka Mafe has challenged Ogun State Police Command to charge him to court if the police have any evidence against him.

In a Press Release personally signed by Hon. Yinka Mafe today, the honourable representing Sagamu State Constituency 1 said,
"It's a pity that the PPRO (Police Public relations Officer) is not clear about the provisions of the constitution. I am the Elected Representative of my people and the laws protects me to speak on the floor of the house. I am best placed to speak for the voiceless people of my constituency."

He continued "Surprisingly, the NPF Ogun State is indicting itself by claiming that it has 15 Criminal Cases it's yet to investigate, ONLY after I told the world that the DPO in Sagamu is Criminally extorting our people after indiscriminate and unprovoked arrest. I make bold to say that we have well over 50 petitions from victims of his unprofessional conduct."

Mafe said he is a trained lawyer, that he did not believe in fighting cases on the pages of newspapers. He then strongly urged and challenged the Police to charge him to court on any or all the 15 supposed Criminal Cases against him which Police said they have against him.

Police Public relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi had said this week that Hon. Yinka Mafe doesn't have moral justification to call for the probe of a Divisional Police Officer, John Mark because the officer is one of the best officers the Police Command has.
