Gospel Tungba Musician, Yinka Ayefele Loses Band Boy In ghastly motor Accident


Gospel Tungba Musician, Yinka Ayfele on saturday night, lost
one his band members after one of the trucks conveying
the musical instruments entered a pot hole along Lagos-
Ibadan Expressway and swerved off the road into a deep
ditch.

The deceased, Tunde Oduneye, 39, was confirmed dead
at the University College Hospital around 11pm on
Saturday. Other occupants of the vehicle sustained
various degrees of injury.

In press statement released by the Merry Makers band,
they had been contracted to perform at the wedding
ceremony of the daughter of Olu Amore, a  Commissioner of Police, before the truck conveying the equipment back to Ibadan had the accident shortly after the old toll plaza at Ogere.

Yinka Ayefele who visibly shocked was seen being
consoled by sympathizers at the Accident and
Emergency Ward of UCH.

In 1997, Ayefele himself was involved in an accident
along Ibadan-Abeokuta road in which he sustained a
spinal chord injury that was to later confined him to
the wheel chair.

The deceased is survived by a wife and two year old
baby.
