Ogun West leaders demand for creation of 18 LCDAs, Olota asks for change of name

Ogun West leaders led by Prof. Biyi Afonja, Senator Iyabo Anisulowo,  Otunba of Ilaro, Prof. Alabi, Chief Dapo Oke, Dr.Kunle Salako, Alh. Saka, Prof. Asiwaju, Deacon Poju Adeyemi, and Hon. Bolaji Oyeleye today at Ogun state house of Assembly's public hearing demand for creation of additional 8 Local Council development areas with 10 LCDAs in the list already submitted to the assembly by Governor Ibikunle Amosun for Ogun West senatorial district.

Prof Afonja said the creation of additional 8 Local Council development areas is necessary because of the border areas and  the population in Yewa and Aworis lands which make it to be ahead of other two senatorial districts.

The Yewa leaders also requested that the headquarter of Iju local council development area should be changed to Igbogila instead of Iboro.

Meanwhile, The Olota of Ota, HRM, Oba Alani Oyede through a representative asked for the change of name of Sango/Ijoko to Ota east, that the name Sango belongs to Hausas.

Ado odo/ Ota is just too big for a local government, this is a bold step taken, All the best
