Violence erupts at on-going Ogun State workers protest as some members of Ogun State house of Assembly intervened in the matter, by negotiating the labour leaders at NLC secretariat, Leme Abeokuta. Workers had gathered early in the morning at various spots to commence the protest. Some workers were seen in substantial numbers at June 12 Cultural center, NNPC mega station. The security men were on ground, men Nigerian Security and Civil Defence corps were seen with their trained dogs to maintain peace. The angry workers vandalized the wind screen of the car of one of the Honourable members representing Abeokuta North state constituency, Hon. Olayiwola Ojodu while some APC leaders were removing APC flags on their vehicles.
The assembly members had succeeded in cooling the tension of angry workers as the protest rally is put on hold.
