Aftermath the Yesterday's CCT ruling which is clearly going to indict the embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki on his false assets declaration, Senator Abdullahi Adamu who is
representing Nasarawa West from the APC and
Suleiman Adokwe of the PDP, representing Nasarawa South are being tipped as
possible replacements of the Senate President.
Suleiman Asonya Adokwe was
elected Senator for the Nasarawa South Senatorial district
of Nasarawa State since 2007 while Abdullahi Adamu was two term Governor of Nasarawa State from 1999 to 2007. Adamu became Secretary of PDP Board of Trustees towards the end of his second term as Governor, He contested for Senate against CPC candidate in 2011 and he won. He decamped to APC to re-contest for Senate in 2015 under All Progressives Congress.
It was learnt that a meeting held yesterday among Senators loyal to the Senate President after the ruling of Code of conduct tribunal, the Senate President was persuaded to step aside to avoid further embarrassment in the whole nation.
While the APC senators are insisting on producing
Saraki's successor, those PDP Senators are negotiating to have anointing one of their own, a
Situation which has divided the Red Chamber into many factions. Lobbying and realignment have started on who should to paddle the canoe of Nigeria Senate house.m
