The Department of State Services (DSS) in Rivers
State has arrested five suspects in connection with
the alleged kidnap and subsequent murder of one
Mr Sampson Worlu, a youth corps member serving
in Imo State.
After collecting one million Naira from the deceased
family and another 1.5 million Naira, the abductors
failed to release their victim abducted in November
2015.
The State Director of the DSS, Justin Ajayi, told
Channels Television that the suspects – four males
and one female – whisked away the victim at
Rumuokoro in the State’s capital.
He was abducted after some members of his family
dropped him off to proceed to his camp and had
since not been found.
According to the DSS, the suspects had been on the
run until the only female member of the gang was
nabbed.
The suspects will be formerly arraigned before a
magistrate court in Port Harcourt.
