'No Negotiations, No Surrender’ – Boko Haram

Barely a week after Abubakar Shekau, the shadowy
leader of Nigeria’s ruthless cult, Boko
Haram surfaced in a video looking subdued as he
insinuated that the end has come for him, the
ferocious death sect issued another video on Friday
where it foreclosed cessation of monumental
havoc.

In a video clip posted in YouTube on Friday, Boko
Haram maintained it was a potent fighting force,
with fighters posing with AK-47s in front of Toyota
Hilux pick-up trucks and a lorry mounted with a
military cannon.

“You should know that there is no truce, there is
no negotiations, there is no surrender,” an
unidentified masked man wearing camouflage
said in a prepared script in Hausa, in the video
posted on YouTube.

“This war between us will not stop.”
It will be recalled, in spite of the initial purported
remorse demonstrated by leader of the sect, the
Defence Headquarters (DHQ) still vowed that the
Nigerian Armed Forces will not relent in its
operations against insurgency in North-East
Nigeria.

This is just as the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal
Sodique Abubakar declared that the days of the
ferocious Boko Haram sect were numbered.

The video, which was of markedly better quality
than Shekau’s and included Arabic subtitles,
featured nine masked Boko Haram fighters
standing on sandy ground in an undisclosed desert
location.

It is not clear if the masked people in the video
include the Boko Haram leader.
