The National Leader of All Progressives Congress, and Ex- Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba who returned to the party on Sunday has directed his Supporters to start attending meetings in all 236 wards of Ogun State.
Osoba directs his Supporters to start participating in Wards activities as the party members. He said there is need for Yoruba Progressives to face one direction, particularly since all Yoruba Obas are speaking with one voice. Osoba told his Supporters at his Ibara GRA house yesterday.
On his side, the former State Chairman of Social Democratic Party, Chief Olu Agemo said on a Radio Programme on Tuesday that all former SDP leaders and members are now ordinary members of All Progressives Congress, that they would abide by the directives of the Ward executives who are already in place.
Governor Amosun and Ogun APC leaders who were in the fore-front of the political battle with Chief Olusegun Osoba were absent as they were not invited for the reconciliation meeting at Ikoyi residence of Osoba's house where South west leaders of the party present.
According to the Publicity Secretary of Ogun State All Progressives Congress, Sola Lawal said “There is nothing extraordinary
about Governor Amosun’s absence at the meeting.
But I have to tell you that neither Amosun nor his
deputy were in town to have attended the
meeting. No sentiment about Chief Osoba’s return
to the party since entry into or exit from a party
is always guided by personal will”.
Reacting to the Lagos reconciliation at Osoba's house as well, the Ex-lawmaker of Ewekoro State Constituency and Special Adviser to Governor Amosun on Youths affairs in his first term, Otunba Adegboyega Adekunle (Texaco) said on a Radio Programme yesterday that the reconciliation staged in Lagos should have started in Ogun State among the party members who had fought themselves during election.
