Former Deputy Comptroller General, DCG, of the Nigeria
Immigration Service, NIS, Mohammed Babandede has
been appointed as the Acting Comptroller General of Nigerian
Immigration Service.
Babandede was appointed following the sack of the former Comptroller of Nigerian Immigration, Martins Abeshi
Abeshi was appointed by
President Muhammadu Buhari last year September.
The Abeshi's removal letter was signed by the
Minister of Interior, Lt-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau
(rtd) on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. The letter directed Abeshi to handover immediately to Babandede.
