The Kano State Governor has sacked the Secretary of the State Government (SSG), Rabiu Bichi. Bichi was appointed by the Former governor of the state, Senator Rabiu Kwankwoso, but was retained by Governor Ganduje.
Governor Abdullahi
Ganduje then appointed Usman Usman
as the new Secretary to the State
Mr. Bichi’s removal was orchestrated by an
ongoing Political fight between the governor
and his predecessor.
The new Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Usman had
served as the Commissioner for
Finance in the state.
Baba Dantiye was
redeployed from the Directorate of
General Media and Communications to
the Ministry of Commerce as
Permanent Secretary.
While Saluhu Yakassai, son of renowned politician, Tanko Yakassai, replaced
Mr. Dantiye as the Director-General
Media of Media and Communications.
Ibrahim Kankarofi, a retired
permanent secretary, was appointed
as the Principal Secretary to the
governor, after his predecessor, Usman
Bala, was also moved to the Ministry of Health as Permanent Secretary.
