The Ogun State Police Command has arrested and commenced orderly room trial of one Policeman with No 389719, Corporal Awoleke Moruf attached to Ilaro Division of the command for firing and killing one commercial motorcyclist, 32 year Old man, Hammed Posi on Wednesday along Igboro area in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State about 10.30 P.M yesterday.
The Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali also directed the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department to conclude the orderly room trial today and charge the suspect to court on Friday 3rd June, without delay.
The Press release by Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi revealed that the misdeed of this erring policeman had triggered the anger of some members of the public, especially, commercial motorcyclists, who took over the streets and started attacking police personnel, facilities and vehicles before they were pacified by very senior Police officers and His Royal Majesty, Olu of Ilaro, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle.
