NSCDC officials arrest men for allegedly producing fake engine oil

The men of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos Command have arrested some men whose their main job was to produce fake different ranges of Engine oil and sell them to the general public. 

The commandant of NSCDC, of the Lagos State Command, Tajudeen Balogun who paraded the suspects, said officials of the Corps swooped on the suspects based on

intelligence report received from the public.

The suspects arrested; Ibem, Emeka, Ndubuisi, Frank, Chukwuonye were all from South East states, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi. 

Balogun said, “They were arrested on Thursday at a
factory on Marine Bridge Street, Apapa, where the
lubricant was produced in large quantity.
“They were caught where they were doing illegal
mixing. The oil can destroy car engines.
“Five jerrycans containing the counterfeit product and a
bucket of gum used in the factory were recovered.
“A laboratory test is ongoing on the product in order to
confirm its counterfeit nature and to serve as evidence
against them.


“They would face the full weight of the law to serve as
a deterrent to others,” the Commandant said, stating
that the factory owner, identified only as Emeka, took
to his heels and was still at large.
“We will get him and make him face the law,” Balogun
said.

The commandant said those caught would been arraigned in court.
