There was bloody clashes between the Unions and the drivers at Ita Oshin Motor park in Abeokuta this Monday morning. It was reported that the Officials of National union of Roads and Transport Workers have set out to implement the new directives of Ogun State government on the increment of daily tickets, which had increased from N350 to N700 for Buses and N200 to N400 for taxis.
The violence erupted as the Union officials were selling the tickets to the drivers in which they aggressively opposed and rejected; this resulted to the use of various weapons. This caused gridlock as people ran helter sketter for the safety of their lives.
As the time of filing this report, there was no security men on ground to curtail the violence.
