Vote for candidates of your choice, Amosun advises Ogun electorate

Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has advised the electorate in the State to vote for their candidates of their  choices irrespective of their political parties.

The Governor made this known at the Eid praying ground of Egbas at Lantoro in Abeokuta while speaking to journalists after the festival prayer. Amosun said that the voters should vote for the credible candidates in the coming local government areas (LGs) and Local Council development areas (LCDAs) election on October 8, 2016.

He asssured that State government will support the Ogun State Independent electoral commission (OGSIEC) to achieve credible election at the polls.


The Governor also used the occasion to urge Nigerians to reflect on the teachings which Ramadan taught people.
Amosun said  “I want to congratulate every Muslim, and non Muslims as well. Let’s reflect on the teachings we were taught during the 30 days of fasting. Both Muslims and the Christians must remain calm and exhibit tolerance among ourselves.
“I want to admonish you all to continue to pray for this country and the leaders, all what we moved away from must completely be away from”, the governor said.

Those present at this year's include; Former Minister for State for power and Steel, Alhaji Sarafa Tunji Ishola, Secretary-General of the Nigeria Supreme council for Islamic affairs(NSCIA), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede and others.
