The Ogun State Independent electoral commission will begin the screening of the political parties' candidates on Monday, 8th of August, 2016. The commission will use Monday through Friday next week for the screening of the candidates.
Commissioner III Of the commission, Barr. Mutiu Agboke stated this development in a Press release obtained by the NEWSPAPER ONLINE today.
The screening exercise will commence with that of Chairmanship candidates of the political parties, followed by the councillorship screening. At the last interview of the commissioner on a Radio programme in Abeokuta State capital of Ogun State, Agboke said 15 political parties had shown intentions to participate in the local government areas and Local Council development areas elections.
The candidates who emerged at the political parties primaries are expected to appear with the three photocopies and the original copies of their certificates and the relevant documents at the commission's headquarters at Oke-ilewo, Abeokuta.
