President Muhammadu Buhari has on Wednesday presented a
₦7.298 trillion
budget for 2017 to the joint
session of the National Assembly
for approval.

Recovery and Growth” as Buhari
Christined the budget was higher than
the ₦6.07 trillion 2016
Appropriation by about 19.95 per cent.
The proposed budget was based on
price of
$42.5 per barrel of crude oil benchmark against the
benchmark price of $38 per
barrel used in the 2016 budget while the exchange rate of dollar was put at ₦305
Federal government
proposed to spend about ₦2.243
trillion on capital projects and ₦2.9 trillion as recurrent
expenditure.
