Ogun Assembly approves ₦65.75b loan requested by Amosun

The Ogun State House of Assembly on Thursday approved the ₦65.75 billion loan requested by Governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Governor Amosun, in a letter to the Assembly had requested for
the approval of the Ogun state House of
Assembly to access N65.75 billion
development loan from the Nigerian and
foreign financial institutions.

The governor explained that the fund will be
sourced from Central Bank of Nigeria, the
Sovereign Wealth Fund, Nigeria Industrial
Bank, the Bank of Agriculture, as well as the
World Bank, the Africa Development Bank, the
African Finance Corporation, Agence France
de Development Bank and China Exim bank.

In a motion moved today by the majority Leader, Hon. Yinka Mafe representing Sagamu State Constituency which was seconded by Hon. Rasaq Oduntan representing Yewa North II state Constituency called for the Assembly' support for the loan request which was unanimously approved by the house members.

The House later adjourned the plenary sitting to next week Tuesday 31st of January, 2017 when the motion was moved by Majority leader, Hon. Yinka Mafe and Hon. Isreal Jolaoso representing Ewekoro State Constituency.
