UPN suspends Paseda, 7 Others over anti-party in Ogun

The Ogun State chapter of the Unity Party of Nigeria has suspended its governorship candidate in the last 2015 General election, Mr. Rotimi Paseda and 7 Other members from the party over anti-party activities with Governor Amosun's All Progressives Congress.
Other party members that were suspended included Mrs. Amina Olatunbosun Olamide, Alhaji Moruph Popoola, Ogun central Chairman, Mr. Jide Taiwo, and that of Ogun west, Mr. Adeogun Kayode and that of Ogun East as well, Mr. Ashafa, the welfare officer, Chief Yemi Olatunji and Prince Adetona Y.K.
In a letter signed by the State Chairman and the Assistant State Secretary of the party, Mrs. Irede Oginni and Alhaji Fatai respectively said Paseda and others were invited to explain themselves over the alleged anti-party activities level against them but they were busy froliching with Governor Amosun's All Progressives Congress, instead of them to appear at the committee sitting.
The party therefore emphasized that eight of them remained suspended from the party until they appear to clear themselves with the disciplinary committee set up by the party.
Meanwhile, Newspaper Online reported in the last October 10 local government areas and Local council development areas election that Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) won more councillorship slots than the main opposition party, People Democratic Party (PDP).
