The Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has inaugurated an
11-man Technical Committee for the take-off of the proposed
Moshood Abiola University of Science and
Technology, Abeokuta and the Ogun State
Polytechnic, Ipokia.
Amosun promised at the inauguration ceremony that his government
would support and implement the
recommendations of the committee.
The governor, then advised the committee to use their wealth of experiences acquired in their numerous Universities in the country.
Former Executive Secretary of the
National Universities Commission (NUC) who is the Chairman of the committee, Prof. Peter Okebukola, in his acceptance
speech, emphasized the determination of
the committee to ensure that the
institutions become pacesetters for all
universities of science and technology and
polytechnics in the country.
Prof. Oludele Itiola is Secretary of the
committee, while members are the Registrar of Joint Admission and Matriculation board, Prof. Ishaq
Oloyede, Prof. Rahmon Bello, Prof. Ganiu
Olatunde, Prof. Femi Bamiro, Dr. Sabur
Raji, the popular radio commentator, Dr. Ebenezer Nkom, the newly appointed Ambassador, Chief (Mrs.)
Ronke Folarin, Mr. Bola Bankole and Mr. Rahim Jimoh.
