Osibajo's Ogun State leads in Buhari's appointments, says Presidency
The Presidency has announced that Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibajo' State, Ogun leads the remaining 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja in appointments of Chief Executive Officers of federal agencies so far made by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Presidency disclosed this with a graph made available to journalists on Saturday to fault a recent media report that claimed that 81 out of 100 appointments made by President Muhammadu Buhari are from the North.
The Special Adviser to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mr . Femi Adesina while making document available insisted that Buhari's appointments did not favour the North as suggested by the media report.
The graph revealed that on a scale of 0 to 25, Ogun State tops the list of states from where CEOs of federal agencies hail from with 21.
Imo and Kano States are the next to Ogun State with 15 each.
Katsina, the home state of the President and Edo State share the third position with 14 each while they are followed by Anambra, Kogi and Kwara that have 13 each.
Kaduna has 12; Adamawa and Bauchi have 11 each while Borno and Lagos have 10 each.
Benue, Delta, Niger and Osun states have 9 each ; Gombe and Jigawa have 8 each ; Rivers has 7 while Bayelsa and Ondo have 6 each.
Cross River, Nasarawa, Plateau, Taraba and Yobe have 5 each; Enugu, Ekiti, Akwa Ibom, Oyo , Sokoto and Zamfara have 4 each ; Kebbi has 3 ; while Ebonyi and Abia States have 2 each.
The FCT has nothing recorded against it on the graph .
