MAPOLY Students will pay for what they damaged during protest, Amosun vows

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has said that all the students of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere, Abeokuta will pay for all the public assets they damaged during their violent protests on Tuesday in Abeokuta.

The students destroyed billboards, the passerby vehicles, material being used for the construction of the pedestrian bridge in the area.

Amosun said this indication while reacting to the violent protest of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic' Students at the ongoing meeting of the National Executive Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Abeokuta.

The governor also reinterated that the striking lecturers of the polytechnic will not be paid salaries for the period they were on strike, while asking them to return to classrooms.
