The leaders of workers in Ogun State have accused the state government of being among the state governments owing workers on their payroll salaries.

Chairman of Ogun state Joint Negotiating Council, Abiodun Olakanmi, said state government, is owing four month salaries.

Olakanmi stated this in Abeokuta at the state congress of the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation, Civil Service Technicians and Recreational Service Employees.

He explained that the 16 months of deductions from workers salaries which have not been remitted to the appropriate authorities by the state government, is equivalent to four month salaries.

According to him, the four months of arrears of salary deductions from salaries to co-operative societies, amount to one month, while 16 months of such unremitted deductions amount to four month salaries.

Apart from the 16 months of unremitted deductions to co-operative societies, Olakanmi said the state government is owing three months of check-off dues, to the unions.
