Ogun State House of Assembly today dissolved the State executives of Articulated motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Ogun State Chapter. The house committee Chairman in charge of Transport, Hon. Isreal Jolaoso representing Ewekoro State Constituency said this today while announcing the 9- man transition committee that will be directing the affairs of the Association. Jolaoso said the executive members supposed to spend 3 years instead of over 4 years they have spent, for the peace to reign, the assembly has to dissolve the executive members.
Comrade Olawale Afeez from Abeokuta South was choosen to head the 10-man committee, pending the new election of new Executive members.
The assembly then advised the members of the Association not to torment trouble.
Meanwhile, the executive members and the members of AMORAN protested with the placards across the State Capital today. They said the dissolution of Aminu Oke led excos was political. They alledged that Deputy Speaker, Hon. Oluomo had candidates he wanted to present to take over the running of the association's activities.
