PDP removes Ali Modu Sherriff as National Chairman, appoints Makarfi

The Peoples Democratic Party has removed its national
chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff, and has appointed an
Interim party executive led by a former governor of
Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi.

A former Anambra governor, Peter Obi, was also
appointed interim secretary of the party.

The scheduled national
convention in Port Harcourt was cancelled, as a
faction of the party conducted a parallel convention
in Abuja same day, Source said.

Sources also told Newspaper Online that the interim party executives appointed will be paddling the affairs of the party for three or Four months.
