Ogun government organises Programmes for June 12

Ogun State government has announced that programmes will be organized to commemorate the historic June 12 1993, the day Nigerians elected the acclaimed Presidential winner, Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola.

Party (SDP), and he defeated his National Republican
Convention (NRC) Opponent, Bashir Tofa, with 2.3
million votes in the election that is widely known as the
most credible in the Nigeria's history.

The Secretary to the State government, Barr. Taiwo Adeoluwa in a Press release said that Democracy walk will commence at June 12 Cultural Centre Abeokuta on Sunday by 7a.m, where people will walk through Kuto road to Oke-ilewo to Ibara to Sokori, then pass through Totoro to Ago ika then to Oja agbo area, to have stop over at Abiola Family house where Prayers will be offered for the deceased who won Presidential election on June 12, 1993.

Adeoluwa then implored all the stakeholders, government appointees, Civil Societies and others to come to honour the late politician.
