Managing Director of Gateway Holdings resigned!

The Acting Group Managing Director of Gateway Holdings Limited, Mr. Kunle Salami has resigned his appointment over poor service which was attributed to the poor funding of the group by the Ogun State government. Governor Ibikunle Amosun appointed Salami as the Acting Managing Director of the group in his first term since 2011 and his appointment has not been confirmed as substantive group managing Director.

Gateway Holdings Limited was established in 2004 by the former Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel. By 2008, it had substantially
raised the investment profile of the state
and paid dividend income in excess of
N1.5 billion to the coffers of the State. The Group later invested on many diversified projects.

Apart from the tall storey buildings constructed by the Gateway Holdings Limited which has not fully generate revenues, the equipment hiring operations of Plantgate
Equipment Hire Service, the then subsidiary of
GHL did not materialize as unpaid bills to
Plantgate at the time from the State Govt
ministries/agencies was in excess of
billions of naira till date.

Gateway Holdings Limited has been neglected by the present administration since it was the creation of Otunba Gbenga Daniel and there has been no funding to the group. The contract staff who were working for the group have not collected salaries over 20 months.
