It has been reported that former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba will lead committee that would submit the resolutions of South-west APC leaders to President Muhammadu Buhari whenever he comes back to the country.
Newspaper Online gathered that after the South west meeting that was held in Ibadan, Oyo State, the resolutions agreed at the meeting would be sent to the President. It was reported that Osoba would have submitted the resolutions but it was not delayed due to the health conditions of the President.
According to Osoba while addressing the journalists after the meeting said “critical issues affecting the
Southwest in the APC” were discussed at the
meeting, stressing that the leaders wanted to
build a more formidable front to command
strength and respect in national affairs.
The former governor said: “We met
principally to discuss all the things that may
be affecting Southwest and we have come out
with a resolution to show that in the
Southwest APC, there is unity of purpose and
that the leadership is one.
“We have resolved on all the issues that may
be affecting governance of this country and
what should be the role and influence that we
should exercise as a group in the interest of
this county and for the progress of this
country.”
