Lagos students abduction: Police deploy sniffer dogs, forensic experts

Police authorities in Lagos
have deployed several sniffer
dogs to Ikorodu in search for
the abductors of three female
students of Babington
Macaulay Junior Seminary,
Ikorodu, Lagos.

The Police had also deployed
a newly acquired forensic
laboratory vehicle to the
scene to help analyze all
clues.

The three students were
kidnapped from the school on
Monday night.

A police source told Daily Trust that the sniffer dogs are
presently combing the murky waters of Ikorodu, and
extending its drag nets up to Ijebu Ode area of
neighbouring Ogun state.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni,
told Daily Trust that detectives from the Command are
presently on the trail of those behind the abduction of
the three female students of Babington Macaulay Junior
Seminary , Ikorodu, Lagos.
Owoseni, who spoke with Daily Trust, through the Police
Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Superintendent of Police
Dolapo Badmos said, rescue mission is presently ongoing.
We are discreet about the operation. We want to be
quiet about it so that it won't jeopardize investigation.
"We urged the parents of the abducted students and all
other parents whose children are students of Babington
Macaulay Junior Seminary School to remain calm. We are
on top of the situation" she added.
