Court sets to Strike out EFCC cases against Gbenga Daniel

Justice Olanrewaju Mabekoje of Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta is set to Strike out the cases of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against Former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel over the non- appearance of the Witnesses for the third time at the Court on Friday.

EFCC lawyer, Rotimi Jacobs cited the Last Civil Servants' strike action in the State as the  reason for the absence of Witnesses in the Court, when the Court sat early this month, but When the case came up again today Friday, it was still the same thing as EFCC lawyer could not bring the Witnesses to the Court.

Justice Mabekoje then gave the Crimes Commission another dates, December 16th and 20th, 2016 to bring the Witnesses to the Court for the fourth time, hence the EFCC Case would be struck out for lack of evidences.

Court has been trying Daniel Since 2012 over various Charges allegedly committed during his administration in Ogun State.
