OGSIEC announces 113 new Wards for October 8 election

Ogun State Independent electoral commission (OGSIEC) on Tuesday has announced 113 new wards for October 8 Local Government and Local council development election in the State. These new wards that were just created and announced by the electoral commission will now make the total number of wards in the State to be 349 wards.

Ogun State had 236 wards before the creation of more wards. The names of the new wards created were published in today's Nigerian Tribune.

Newspaper Online reporters said that many people were sighted around the town as they were jubilating. Many of them also rushed  to the various news stands to buy the newspaper which has the list of new wards.

The electoral commission Chairman, Alhaja Risikat Ogunfemi had announced that the commission would conduct the councillorship election in those new and old wards.
