Amosun's Councillors sack Council Chairman, Vice, others for supporting Dapo Abiodun
Some Councillors in Ogun Waterside, Abigi had impeached the Executive chairman of the local government, Comrade Femi Onanuga on the order of Governor Ibikunle Amosun. It was alleged that the governor ordered the Councillors to remove Onanuga, and his vice, following his refusal to support Allied Peoples movement (APM) governorship candidate, Hon. Kunle Akinlade who was favoured by Amosun.

Akinlade was reportedly embarrassed in Ogun waterside Local government when he visited the local government for campaign tour as the traditional rulers were not invited by the Chairman to honour him. It was also reported that Onanuga had been working with All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun and this did not go down well with Governor Amosun. The governor then instructed the Councillors loyal to him to remove Onanuga, his vice and the Councillors who supported Abiodun.
