PDP approves Time tables for Congresses, National Convention

The National Executice Council of People Democratic Party has approved the time-tables for the party’s Congresses and National Convention.
According to the Communique  jointly issued by both its Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sherriff and the Secretary, Prof. Adewale Oladipo at the end of 69th NEC meeting, Congresses will commence on Saturday, April 23, 2016 and culminate in the National Convention on Saturday, May 21, 2016.

NEC also approved the party’s Guidelines for Congresses and the National Convention that will hold in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

After exhaustive deliberations, National executive council  approved the extension of the tenure of office of all organs of the party at all levels until the conduct of Congresses and National Convention. This is however with the exception of Edo and Ondo States.

The Council as well set up four special committees in preparation for the National Convention; National Convention Committee, Reconciliation Committee, Zoning Committee and Finance Committee.

The party condoled the family and Federal government on unfortunate death of Minister for State for Labour and Productivity, Ocholi James. They also congratulated their candidates including Senator David Mark who won rerun election.
