Rainstorm destroys Houses, properties in Abeokuta

The heavy rainfall that lasted for about 45 minutes has destroyed many houses and properties in Abeokuta the State Capital of Ogun today.

The rain that started with storms resulted into the felling of trees and collapse of buildings in the city.  

Some vehicles were also badly damaged at Mechanic villages and on the main roads as a result of felling of trees and poles.  At least, about 10 vehicles were reportedly damaged at Abule meko OGTV road, uncontrollable flow of Seko river as a result of an on-going road construction at Ayetoro road blocked the commuters plying the road, thereby made the road impassable. An electric pole broke down and crossed a road at Itoku while another electric poles collapsed at Sam Ewang road.
