Egbado to Yewa bill passes Second reading in the National Assembly

The legislative Bill on Egbado name Change has Passed through Second Reading in the National Assembly.

A bill which was sponsored by Hon. Kayode Oladele representing Yewa North/Imeko Afon federal constituency is to alter Section 3, Part 1 of the First Schedule to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to allow for the change of Egbado North and Egbado South to Yewa North, Yewa South and  other related matters.

Egbado name had been changed to Yewa in 1995 While Ado odo Its remained as Aworis by the State government; but this has not been changed in the Country's constitution.
